Short Break

Thanks to Zhi, i`ve became hooked on Owl City. I`ve never heard of such music where i can hear them over and over again without getting bored. Its somewhat relaxing too :D.

Anyway, today i just saw The Time Traveler`s Wife. Pretty interesting i would say..worth watching for those who like romance movies but time traveling can be quite confusing at times...i want to read the book though...anyone has it? i wanna borrow :).

Anyway thats all for this short post...so much things to do...but i`m being a lazy ass :P

The Day I Will Never Ever Forget

On sunday, i went to help out in the Putrajaya Ironman Qualifiers because Khai Sim asked me to help. I woke up at 5am..which the last time I did so was in NS. so I reached the Kelana Jaya LRT station at 6am then met up with Yin Yee, Khai Sim, Jack and Boon Yen to board the train to Pasar Seni. We then took the E1 bus to Putrajaya Sentral then took the Nadi Putra bus to reach the hotel where it was at.

The hotel's name is Pullman. Weird name i know..but it is a really nice place for a hotel and it was so clean. Then we go look for the volunteer manager but couldnt be reached and found..so we spoke to an official which told us what to do and asked us to eat 1st..but we couldnt eat because we had no tag..and khai sim was quite pissed off. So we got nothing to eat even though we ate before we came..but no matter..

Then we were briefed by the same official and was told to let the ironman participants go into the tent if they wanted to rest or change. Our jobs were really simple since we had no head to watch over us..since they all went to rest due to they stayed the night and havent sleep...so we took over them even though we didnt spent the night before. Eventually we did get our tags..

I really gotta salute these participants, real heroes. Swimming for 1.9km then a 90.1km bike journey and end with a 21km run. Plus this is just the qualifiers. The real one you have 3.8km swim, 180km bike journey and 42km run which will be in Langkawi . The first person to finish was a french i think..after 3 hours since 8am and the last came in i think around 3-4pm

Long story short, we had laughs and took quite alot of photos and sunburns..i got mine on my neck and face..and pics are not with me. Most of them are with Khai Sim and Yin Yee. So at 4+ we could already leave after they gave us any stuff they could salvage for us since we didnt spent the night for our help yesterday..

Then..we waited for the bus outside the hotel which did not came after an hour. so fed up of waiting and the thought of never going home..we walked. we thought by walking we could eventually see a bus..but it never came..there was a taxi..but it wont fit all of us..

It is a good thing I saw the police car and stop them to ask for directions..if not we would be lost forever..so we walked and walked...for 3 whole hours..who knew precinct 7 was damn bloody far and our legs were like so bloody tired..but we still continued walking.and Khai Sim kept taking pics

Boon Yen had his GPS but to make sure..i called RK, which confirmed the way..

when we reached Putrajaya Sentral..there was a huge sigh of relief and Boon Yen kissed the ground. so we rested and took the U43 bus which is rm1.90 to kj station which we should have taken in the 1st place than listen to the organizer...

and that is the day i will never forget.

note to self : Kill Khai Sim :P

Study Skills (3 October 2009)

An exam which is pretty much like moral and malaysian studies except it is about how to study. It is not counted but i still had to study for it to pass, even though I only needed 13 more marks to secure a pass but haven't counted my assignment 3 marks..but i don't like taking risks so...yea..

and why was I not told of the gathering in eunice's house??

19 years

On the 7th of September, i was born. Fast forwarding 19 years, yesterday i celebrated my birthday with my secondary school classmates. Pretty much like a usual hangout, we went for lunch at Sushi Zanmai..food was ok..the guys made me eat a piece laced with damn alot of wasabi..nearly killed me. My eyes were literally screaming in pain..and my nose too. We watched UP. Pretty interesting show i would say, it was more meaningful than funny than i thought. I almost cried at the beginning..was quite touching really...

SQUIRREL ! hahahahaha.

and then we stopped by at McD cause they wanted ice cream..lol then later we passed by this small ramadan stall selling food. i bought like 3 sticks of satay..they were good but a little cold.

Thats about it really..xD

Today

Blargh...so much work yet i still procrastinate =P. 1 small update la..since all i`ve been doing is uni uni uni.

1. L4D for 3 hours = RM 6.50

2. KFC dinner = RM 14.20

Day 2 of Orientation

Day 2 of orientation. I woke up at 6am. left for the Kelana Jaya LRT station at 6.30 which i then proceeded to wait for the 7am T623 bus. The ride was 15 minutes, and i walked to college which took me 12 minutes due to my shoes..something is wrong with it. hmm..

So i came so early. *yawn*. listened to music while staring down from the 2nd floor, which i then spotted monde in the car with his sis. dammit ! could have followed them. RAWR !

Oh well...

The seniors came in to take attendance, then Dr Lim Tong Ming which is the associate professor of SCT came to give his speech. Quite welcoming yet he reminded us not to play around which i would not want to do here hehe. Then Ms Alice Joshua which is the Head of Academics gave her speech as well. Then my course coordinator, Mr Christopher Ong..gave his speech..and yea..he called me at 10am last week while i was still asleep asking for my email address lulz.

All in all, they were very welcoming and told us to approach them if we needed help. Any problems at all.

Then we had a treasure hunt organized by the SCT student council. It was ok...since again it was like the mufy game's telematch..the clues were miscommunicated. We had to dry this shirt that they frost in those cylinder type casing you buy your discs. Well 1st of was to break the ice then to dry the shirt. Not an easy task. The driest shirt won, but not ours lol. My team gave me the shirt cause i was the leader =P.

Then break. eat alone again =(.

At 4pm, we were briefed by our coordinator about the course and was given the timetable. Only on wednesday i have to wake up early @@. Oh yea, its not 10 people in CSC btw, its 18 lulz. Probably they didnt come yesterday.



Thats all =P

Lancaster University

Today was my 1st day of orientation at Lancaster University..It was ok i guess..i listened to the same talk by the Heads of Sunway..but Elizabeth Lee made her's more unique like sort of a motherly way lol and my head was quite high in the sky due to the medicine i ate before coming lol...then we had break.

I ate alone at medan, since i do not know anyone yet at the moment..so sad =(((. After that, i went to Audi 6 for more orientation. This time, with the SCT(School of Computer Technology) student council. Quite a friendly bunch of people..the ice breaking session however was sort of funny..

Then when we seperated into our designated course. Me being computer science, went to the corner there. There were only 10 people for computer science. 9 guys and 1 girl. MADNESS?!?!THIS IS SPARTAAAAAAAAAAA !

So far i got to know only 4 guys..if i got their name right...its rody, bashar, henry and shi-..i forgot the korean guy's name. will ask again tomorrow.

Must be the Haze..

I went to the doctors today and i was diagnosed with tonsils infection..like i didnt see that coming..the sides of my throat were aching immensely yesterday everytime i swallow..now less due to the antibiotics..

I did tell my mom to take me to the doctors...but nooooOooo..she ask me to eat those medicines that were at home. Well they did work for a week, but it came back. =(

So now i have to eat 4 kinds of medicine. woopee~

Hopefully better by tomorrow.

She was introduced to me at first as a quiet and reserved person. But lo and behold, i soon found out i was wrong. Shes is a crazy lunatic person who beats me up almost everytime in tuition, kicks my chair and hyperactive on sugar. yes sugar. even the slightest bit will trigger her.

Okay..enough about her =P. Lets move back a day before. We celebrated 1 day earlier for her.

The party was graced with our presence *cough cough*. There were wormie, me, yin yee, hui mei, ming han, jing waye and natasha. We started around 2 which was later abit than the time planned...due to wormie`s house which seems to hate phone signals..so we couldnt call out neither could people call in. We started by eating. what did we eat?KFC and Domino's Pizza. Must've cost a bomb. kekekekeke.

Then, we played BANG ! It is a card/board game. More info on it can be found here. BANG !.

Then we played....Twister ! It is a mat game?lol TWISTER ! We got into many tight situations. Well mostly yin yee, ming hand, hui mei and jing waye since they lasted longest =P. Wormie and I were mostly the referee aka the spinner and the photographers. I apologize if my pics are noob stuff cuz probably my lack of skill. not to blame Yin yee's camera phone. Some were taken by wormie as well.
